28 years ago today, I married my wife Denise Concetta Antoinette Pennella (now THAT’s Italian!). As I think back to when we first met, it made me think of first impressions. Did you know that people make 11 “assumptions” about you when they first meet you?
And did you know that these 11 assumptions take place within the first 30 seconds of meeting you – before you even open your mouth? Wow. But we all do it, don’t we?
I’m happy that I not only passed the first 30 seconds, but made it 28 years!
As you look at the 11 assumptions think about how you look, sound, and even smell! (After all, cologne was created for a purpose). If you are in business, sales, or customer service, you want to project the image that appeals to your target market. Be willing to put on the “costume” for the purpose of creating a phenomenal first impression so that you can begin a long lasting relationship that is profitable for all involved.
